E10 - rebate on road duty/tax
If the government are forcing us to use e10 fuel in petrol cars and it is less polluting, cars that have been forced to use it should get a lower tax rating (vehicle road duty)
We are taxed/charged duty on the pollution our vehicles make, if a cleaner fuel (e10) is being used at nearly all pumps, then we should get a reduction in road tax/duty.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.
While E10 fuel is becoming the standard grade in Great Britain this summer, drivers will not be forced to use it and will still be able to use E5 by purchasing the ‘super’ grade (97+ octane) petrol from most filling stations: www.gov.uk/guidance/e10-petrol-explained
If you want all vehicle tax rates to be reduced because E10 fuel has been made standard we could accept a petition requesting that, or if you wanted drivers to be able to apply for a rebate based on purchases of E10 fuel, we could also accept a petition requesting that, but it would need to be clear how you wanted this to work.
