Don't walk away from Afghanistan
In 2001 the international community made a promise to Afghan people. The leaders of the free world including the then British prime minister promised Afghans that "this time we will not walk away from you". This was when the world made a huge mistake by leaving Afghans after they fought the war of
the west by defeating the Soviet Union
Afghanistan was then turned into a hotbed for international terrorism. We are making the same mistakes again. We can not leave the destiny of Afghan people in the hands of a "rotten deal" to quote the defence Secretary. Afghanistan's security has implication on world security. We want a clear strategy from the government on both humanitarian and ensuring security of Afghanistan to prevent it from becoming a failed state.
