Keep the Universal Credit uplift of £87 a month given during the Covid Pandemic
To not remove the additional payment of £87 a month from those on Universal Credit as it will cause unnecessary hardship for thousands of people who are already struggling.
Thousands of British citizens are already struggling to survive, more so since the pandemic. Many have lost their jobs & income, many having to use food banks to feed their families, struggling to pay mortgages and utilities and the £87 given to those on Universal Credit already struggling has meant the difference of having some money to pay a bill or buy food. Removing this payment will cause immense stress, worry and cause increased hardship during an already challenging time.
