Honour The Triple Lock. We have the lowest pension and do not deserve a cut.
The proposal to give State Pensioners a Below Inflation increase next year is actually a real terms cut. Utility Prices, Council Tax and Retail prices all increase above inflation. We have paid in for 40+ Years with PAYE & NI and deserve a pension that is Not The Lowest in the Developed World.
We want the Government to have a full debate in the HoC and right this wrong for the coming year 22/23 and further agree that it is wrong to make the least well off pay the price for supporting others during Covid. To look, with cross party support, at a long term strategy to bring our Pension into line with the pensions of at least the European average.
