Set a legal rate for the sale of pets to stop owners profiteering from offspring
The Government should bring in a law to stop pet owners from selling their offspring for huge profits. Pets are not machines and it's not fair to keep allowing them to get pregnant to sell their babies for huge profits. There should be a legalised rate a pet should be sold for, to stop profiteering.
The Government should bring in a law to stop
people breeding their pets to profit from their offspring by selling them for huge amounts of money.
Many dog and cat owners aren't spaying or neutering their pets, resulting in females constantly falling pregnant, and owners then selling the offspring for huge amounts of money. It's wrong, it's profiteering, and we believe it causes unnecessary suffering to the mum.
Kittens for instance are being sold for approx £200-£300 each! This needs to end!

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
We understand you want to limit the price that pets are sold for, however this is a private matter between the breeder and the buyer. You could start a petition calling for increased regulation of the sale of pets if that is something you'd like to happen.
