Minimum 5-year sentence for knife possession and 10-years for use of a knife

Petition Details

We want the Government to introduce minimum sentences for carrying/possession of a knife in public, and for using a knife.

Additional Information

The Government should introduce a minimum sentence of 5 years for possession, and a minimum of 15 years for use of a knife to cause harm to another person. Too many knife crimes are happening at the moment across the UK and especially in my home town of derby. Enough is enough.
