Petition Action

Permanently increase the £20 universal credit payment

Petition Details

The government are taking away the £20 per week increase to universal credit.
Boris wants to encourage people back to work.
He is treating everyone who claims universal credit the same.
Not everyone that claims are out of work.
I work as much as I can around my 2 young children.

Additional Information

I have never claimed benefits. A breakdown of my family sent me down this route recently.
I work hard whilst also looking after my 2 young children.
Universal credit helps me support my children with our living costs.
A £20 a week cut wouldn't get me into work fulltime. Far worse..
It will potentially make me lose my job completely. I will struggle with transport costs and other costs. It could force me into unemployment.
Please sign and help my family.
You could be in my shoes one day.
