Stop issuing Street Trader's Licences to Ice Cream Vans
We believe that vans selling ice creams have several negative impacts on both society and the environment
They:
-Encourage unhealthy eating in children
-Put pressure on parents to spend money
-Cause damage to the environment by creating diesel fumes for long periods of time
The Government should stop issuing new Street Trader's licences to Ice Cream Vans.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Petitions must call for a specific action that the UK Government or House of Commons is responsible for.
Decisions about granting licences for street traders are a matter for individual local authorities, not the Government or House of Commons. As a result it is not possible for the Government or House of Commons to take the action you have requested.
I you are concerned about ice cream vans in your area you could raise this issue with a local councillor, who represents you. You can use this page to find out who your local councillors are, and how to contact them: www.gov.uk/find-your-local-councillors
