Mandate and fund Independent Sexual Violence Advisor at universities
We want the Government to make sure all universities have an Independent Sexual Violence Advisor (ISVA) on all university campuses by providing financial support and making it mandatory that all universities have an ISVA.
Studies have shown that almost two thirds (62%) of students and graduates have experienced sexual violence at UK universities. Therefore it is imperative that victims of sexual violence receive responsive support where their needs are prioritised in order to make the transition from victim to survivor – this can only be achieved if victims receive support from specialist advisors.
