Training for Police Officers when dealing with people who are Neuro Diverse
There is still a lack of knowledge by Police Officers when dealing with people who have Neuro Diverse or have Mental Health issues, this is because there no sufficient training for them to understand the
behaviours of those who have the said conditions and may mistake it as aggressive behaviour
People who have Neurological and Mental Health are more likely to be taken into Custody by the Police as may not understand when confronted with strange and aggressive behaviour and better training to spot certain actions, could help them to take the correct action to refer them to them to the appropriate Medical Professionals, one suggestion is that there could be a local voluntary register for those who are Neuro Diverse or have Mental Health issues, so that the Police aware beforehand
