Require plastic food containers to contain a minimum percentage recycled plastic

Petition Details

Houses need to have a minimum of insulation. Petrol must contain a minimum of ethanol. We should introduce a minimum requirement that plastic food containers manufactured or sold in the UK (bottles, food packaging, etc) contain a minimum percentage of recycled plastic and to increase this over time.

Additional Information

This will aid in reducing fossil fuel usage and contribute towards green energy commitments. It is consistent with government policy and prior initiatives to encourage business uptake through legislation
