Petition Action

Mandatory Health Testing for Breeding Dogs

Additional Information

No animal should be bred to suffer.
This petition calls for the mandatory health testing of dogs used for breeding purposes to prevent defective genes and life-threatening illnesses passing to further generations of puppies. It would be necessary to work alongside the Kennel Club and other animal welfare organisations to establish a thorough screening and registration process to allow anyone to use a dog for breeding.
