Give everyone with a car driving licence entitlements to drive C1 and D1 vehicle

Petition Details

Currently there is an international shortage of commercial drivers. Given the pandemic there is a major backlog of tests. The Government are allowing car drivers to tow trailers up to 3,500kg - why not allow D1 and C1 without a trailer also?

Additional Information

This would mobilise a larger potential workforce, which should enable a more effective restart of the economy. These steps should enable immediate help towards food deliveries and allow more resilience across the country.
