Use prisoners in categoryD/C That already have their HGV license And wear a tag
Prisoners in category D/C prisons that have their HGV license can fill there hgv shortage. They would have to be security checked for risks and have to wear a TAG and this is not a get out jail card it’s to help hgv shortage
There is 3567 hgv drivers in prison that are low risk according to moj information. There is a big shortage of hgv drivers why not youse these aswell

We understand that you want qualified HGV drivers who are in prison to be used to fill labour shortages, but we're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do. It's not clear if you want these prisoners to be required to work as HGV drivers, and we can't accept petitions that make extreme requests, which includes requests for forced labour, or something else.
You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.
