Change school rules so all students can wear retainer in all uk schools
We would like older children to be able to wear retainer while at school my daughter has two ear piercing and a nose piercing and she’s being told to only wear one set of metal coloured studs in the lower lobe
My daughter suffers from constant infection as she has to constantly take her piecing out and in for school I have also had to remove my child from school due to her piecing needing to stay in for 3 weeks because the school have said she can’t have it in at school and she can’t remove it I was also informed she can’t wear retainer even though these are aloud in most work places

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
It isn't clear whether you want rules to change to enable children to wear retainers, or to enable them to wear jewellery. It's also a school's individual responsibility to decide what uniform the children can wear, rather than the Government's or Parliament's.
