Petition Action

A referendum on the de-metrification of the UK without any manifesto pledge

Petition Details

The government today signaled its intent to roll back on measures & reintroduce imperial weights & measures.

There is no mandate - stated or popular - for this action.

A referendum should be held to confirm this backward step should occur

Additional Information

There is NO benefit to the reintroduction of imperial weights & measures into British life.

Indeed there will be additional costs in dual labelling plus confusion for future generations, AGAIN.

Unilaterally introducing regressive actions without consultation is undemocratic & needs both debate and public backing.
