Ban unsolicited paper flyers and advertising materials posted through doors.
Make it illegal to deliver all unsolicited mail, advertising material and flyers to private addresses/homes.
We are all being asked to reduce the amount of waste we generate and are encouraged to use online services to reduce the use of paper, e.g. online bank statements, and yet every week I receive handfuls of flyers, takeaway menus etc. I haven't asked for these to come through my door and they immediately go into my recycling bin. This is a waste of resources and must equate to many tons of wasted paper each year.
