People claiming jobseeker's allowance to do volunteer work until they find jobs.
There are many people in the UK who claim jobseeker's allowance as they are unable to find work. There are also people who claim jobseeker's allowance and have no intention of finding work and would rather live on the state.
Forcing able bodied people to earn the benefits that are currently being given to them will encourage people to find jobs that pay more than jobseeker's allowance. This will fill many job vacancies this country has.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Petitions must call for a specific action that the UK Government or House of Commons is responsible for.
Decisions about undertaking voluntary work are a matter for individuals and organisations seeking volunteers, not the Government or House of Commons. As a result it is not possible for the Government or House of Commons to take the action you have requested.
If you want the Government to create new requirements for people claiming Jobseeker's Allowance, such as mandatory training or work placements, we could accept a petition requesting this.
