Hold the media to account for their actions.
Fines, when the media report on a story they should be forced to consider the consequences of that story before promoting it. If the story then had a serious impact on how people live their lives the media should compensate not the tax payer.
The recent hysteria created about a shortage of fuel has encouraged people to get petrol before it runs out. This is not necessary. A shortage of drivers is the issue. People are told by the government that fuel is fine and we don’t need to fill up but how can you expect people to not fill up when a small majority still will. The media has caused trouble for everyone taxpayers, workers, businesses and the government.
The media should support our country and their readers.
