Petition Details

British copper coins, especially the penny, have virtually no value in society today. It is time for them to be withdrawn as legal tender.

Additional Information

They weigh heavily in our pockets and purses and are increasingly becoming a nuisance, rather than an asset, as legal tender. Time to withdraw them from circulation.
