STRICTER PENALTIES FOR RACIST FOOTBALL FANS
We want to lobby the FA so that they can improve their punishment system for Racist Fans.We want the FA to put on heavier fines for offenders,upwards of £5,000 or more,depending on the severity of the offence.
The Football Offences Act 1991 says that any offenders on the pitch(crowds) will be fined,not arrested.This Act implies on only ‘designated matches such as matches in the Premier league and the Scottish Prem.The maximum fine is only up to £1000.
A while ago,I played in a local football match,a friendly.Im from a different minority myself,not born in England.The crowd which consisted of 500-1500 people,30% started calling me different names like ‘refugee’ or ‘you don't belong here.
