Increase the pay for carers
Carer's wages should be increased. A Carer's job IS NOT a minimum wage job!
Which therefore means the hourly rate paid by the council's needs to be a lot higher to allow businesses to increase the wage for carers.
Carer's have so much responsibility when caring for the most vulnerable people in our community. The things they have to deal with on a daily basis, from personal care to medication to ensuring everyone's safety and wellbeing and yet it is not recognised as being a well paid job and it should be. Carer's deserve to be well paid, they work long hours, unsociable hours huge responsibility and yet they could get paid more for stacking shelves in asda!
