Take complaints of sexual assaults and violence against women more seriously
Too many women are not being taken seriously when reporting sexual assaults and domestic violence and often made to feel it's their fault they were attacked. This needs to stop. Women need to be reassured that steps will be taken to have the attacker prosecuted, properly.
Bring in legislation to make sure sexual crimes and violence against women is given the proper investigation it's needed to bring the perpetrators to justice and not just brushed of because "She was drunk, so it's her fault".

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.
We're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do. We understand you're concerned about the low rates of prosecution and conviction for sexual offences, but we're not sure what you'd like the Government to do differently.
You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.
