Make refusing the coin of the realm illegal
Covid has been used as an excuse by banks to control monies and business big and small to refuse the coin of the realm, many people prefer to use cash/coins as a means of paying and should not be discriminated against for using their preferred payment method
Contra to belief, It’s not just the old who prefer to use cash, I have no issue with automatic payment methods however cash should never be sidelined and it should be illegal for any company to refuse cash, many people find budgeting with cash far easier and these people tend not to be overdrawn and not the ones constantly struggling except when some shops etc say sorry we no longer take cash - this is wrong on all levels and needs to stop and criminalising it would overnight stop the practice
