Age appropriate testing for Covid in Children

Petition Details

I would like the government to consider adopting a different method to testing children, an age appropriate PCR test nicknamed the lollipop test. All the children need to do is to suck on a cotton swab for 30 seconds compared with our current PCR testing method.

Additional Information

The testing of young children for COVID-19 a traumatic experience for both the child and the parent. I have experienced first hand how stressful and scary the current test is on a child. There is a better option the lollipop test a much more pleasant experience for them. I really would like to see the government spend the money on these reliable tests which will give us peace of mind and allow parents and children to worry about one less Covid related burden.
