Petition Action

Allow the History curriculum in secondary schools to include more diversity

Petition Details

We want the government to make it mandatory to contain BAME history as we feel as though many people’s, including our own, culture is not covered within the curriculum. This should also include Asian history as we feel they have even less representation.

Additional Information

We would like everyone to feel represented with history and feel connected with their own cultural history. People lack a knowledge of important historical figures from their own culture yet are made to learn figures that may have oppressed their ancestors.
