This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

Petitions must call for a specific action that the UK Government or House of Commons is responsible for.

Your petition refers to the "UK Police Department", but in the UK there are 48 civilian police forces. Operational decisions about how the operations of individual police forces, such as annual assessments, online filing and identification numbers, are a matter for each police force, and professional policing bodies, not the Government or House of Commons.

You can find out more about policing in the UK here: commonslibrary.parliament.uk/research-briefings/cbp-8582/

We could accept a petition calling for changes to the rules that govern policing in the UK, but it would need to be clear what changes you want to be made.
