Change the law on knife crime
Anyone who kills someone with a knife should only be found guilty of murder. It seems easier to admit to manslaughter to get a lighter sentence.
Change the law so that you only have a murder charge for knife killings.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
We can't accept your petition because the UK Government and Parliament aren't responsible for the issue you raise. Charging and conviction decisions are a matter for the CPS and the courts, not the UK Government or Parliament.
We could accept a petition calling for a mandatory life sentence (as with murder) for any death involving a knife.
