Stop the Child Maintenance Service asking for security info when cold calling.
If I contact the CMS over the telephone I am willing to give personal and sensitive security information to confirm it is me.
When the CMS contacts me over the telephone they instantly ask for the same sensitive security information details.
This is a serious fraud risk!
Anyone could call from an 0800 number, claim they are the CMS and then ask for NI number, date of birth, address, payment methods, names and dates of birth of children, and any other information that could be used fraudulently.
This practice from the CMS needs to stop! How is a government agency allowed to cold call parents and instantly require security information for proof of identity.
Anyone could copy this approach and gain personal information and use it fraudulently.
