This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.

We understand that you are concerned about spiking in nightclubs and bars, but we're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do. Your petition refers to security, but it's not clear if you mean private security staff employed by hospitality venues, or police. Decisions about policing are a matter for individual police forces, but we could accept a petition calling for new legal requirements for hospitality venues to introduce additional security measures.

We have published the following petitions, which you might like to sign:

Make it a legal requirement for nightclubs to thoroughly search guests on entry: petition.parliament.uk/petitions/598986

Require licensed venues to introduce anti-spiking policies, and fund training: petition.parliament.uk/petitions/599289
