Petition Action

Change the petitions character length to 10,000 for increased specificity

Petition Details

Change the character limit on petition applications to 10,000 characters as to supply greater specifity in requests

Additional Information

500 characters is not enough to provide adequate detail in petition requests. You can't sight any relevant legislation to reform, or provide proper reasoning as to why. You can't provide who to direct it to, or when to take effect, or to include legal oversight to make sure it is done. We also request an appointed case manager for direct communication when requesting ammendments to existing law.

This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.

We're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do. Specifically, we're not sure what you mean by an appointed case manager for direct communication when requesting ammendments to existing law

You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.
