Stop plans to limit students studying creative arts subjects at university.
The Government is pushing through plans to drastically limit the opportunity for students to study any creative subjects at university. We want the government to stop their plans to cut 50% of UK creative courses and support the study of all creative arts and design based subjects for every student.
In February 2020 GOV.UK confirmed ‘The creative arts in the UK contributes 13 million pounds every hour to the economy….the Creative Industries sector is growing five times faster than the national economy’
This shows how important maintaining the pipeline of creative students coming through university is to the UK. The post Brexit/Covid economy needs the next generation of performers, artists and designers. Their presence is in all our lives in everything we do. Stop this cultural disaster.
