Boycott Countries that Hunt Whales, Dolphins and Sharks and Urge Them to Stop!
Commercial whaling was banned in 1986. However, Japan, Norway and Iceland have probably killed over 40,000 of these magnificent and vital animals since then. Whaling is not “scientific research”, it is animal cruelty, and it is an assault on animals who are vital to our oceans.
Whales and sharks are not “monsters”. They have rights!
Whales, dolphins are sometimes used for their meat and fins, but they are hunted by countries that aren’t third world countries, such as Norway, Iceland and Japan. Other countries manage to feed people without hunting them. These animals are hunted for money, driven by greed.
Sharks actually are not as dangerous as we make them out to be. They actually kill only around ten people per year, and this is usually by mistake.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
We understand that you'd like the Government to intervene on dolphin, whale and shark hunting, but it's not clear which countries this applies to, nor how a boycott would work.
You could start a petition asking the Government to suspend trade agreements with specific countries which hunt whales, dolphins and sharks.
You could also sign this petition:
Suspend trade agreement with Faroe Islands until all whale & dolphin hunts end
