Increase Disabled Facility Grant (DFG) funding
Increase Disabled facilities Grant (DFG) funding in line with inflation and an increase in building material costs.
https://www.gov.uk/disabled-facilities-grants
Currently the maximum funding in England is £30,000.
The current funding does not cover the cost of much needed extensions/adaptations for children and adults with disabilities, putting families at risk.
Some extensions that have been quoted by builders for ground floor extensions for a bedroom and wet room can be in the region of £60,000 - £100,000.
The limited adapted housing stock means that there are also not enough suitably adapted properties to house children/adults with disabilities.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.
We understand that you want the Disabled Facilities Grants
to be increased, but it's not clear how much you want this to be increased by.
You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.
