Limit the working week to 4 days
Legislate to reduce the working week to 4 days
A 4 day working week will create jobs, increase leisure time, reduce the country's carbon footprint, and improve the mental wellbeing for those in jobs that they do not enjoy, and create a more balanced and healthier work-life experience

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.
We understand that you want the Government to introduce a four day working week, but we're not sure exactly what you want the Government to do in practice. Currently there are limits on working hours, although people can opt out of these, but there are no limits on the number of days a week people can work.
Preventing people from working more than four days would also not necessarily increase leisure time, as people could work more hours on the days they are working.
You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.
