Make it mandatory for international sport to be on terrestrial television.
International sporting events of significance that one or more of the Home Nations are competing in should be aired on terrestrial television. This should be made mandatory in order to promote interest and participation in sport for people throughout the UK no matter their economic circumstances.
With live events being unaffordable to many with ticket prices for national teams' home fixtures now commonly in excess of £100 per ticket and multiple platforms winning exclusive television rights to various competitions, watching major international sport is becoming a luxury rather than something available to all. Something needs to change.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Petitions must call for a specific action that the UK Government or Parliament are directly responsible for.
Decisions about what international sporting events to air are a matter for individual broadcasters, not the Government or Parliament.
As a result it is not possible for the Government or Parliament to take the action you have requested.
