for the training and recruitment of Civil Wardens to assist Police on rd traffic offences Clamp down.Caused Specifically By Cyclist.E Bike users.E Scooters.Putting Pedestrians at risk.Pavement Cycling. Also in Pedestrian Areas.
Government to Fund police and Councils for recruitment and training of
Civil wardens and traffic wardens ,Specifically in relation to pavement
Cycling. And e scooters and the like.
At it stands Councils say they do not have the Powers of enforcement
Whilst traffic wardens are not trained for this type of offence.
We need Council @Police to Enforce the law in a Supportive initiative Program. Enforce the law for this crime.
This Could be achieved with funding and re establishing Civil wardens.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Petitions must call for a specific action that the UK Government or Parliament are directly responsible for.
Local traffic wardens only have powers relating to parking regulations, and decisions about enforcing road traffic offences are a matter for individual police forces, not the Government or Parliament.
We could accept a petition calling on the Government to provide additional funding for policing of road traffic offences, if that's something that you'd like to happen.
