Petition Details

Put the right to physical money that is legal tender (as per the current pound) into the constitution in perpetuity.

Additional Information

The public feel their privacy is threatened by the introduction of "digital currency".
Digital currencies may aid tax evasion
People use cash as a tool to regulate spending
Cash is used as incentives to return keys and trolleys
Cash is used in slot machines
Cash is used as a gift

The UK does not have a written constitution, and the current Government and Parliament cannot make decisions or enact laws that bind future governments or parliaments, so we cannot accept petitions that make requests for certain laws or rights to be set in perpetuity.
