Reduce the Gt Manchester Clean Air Zone charges. Guarantee cars won't be charged
Review the Greater Manchester Clean Air Zone charges.
We also want a guarantee that cars will NEVER be charged for driving inside the zone.
Compensation scheme for those that lose out financially due to the scheme. IE: Vehicle value lack of resale value.
The charges are excessive and in a working class area like Gt.Mcr not everyone can or will be able to afford the £10 or £60 per day charge.
Bus route charges wil rise, business' will close, more will become unemployed. People and business' will lose out financially and be left with unsellable vehicles.
The implications are huge and the knock on effect will damage the economy in the area.
The charges need to be reduced and a guarantee cars will never be charged.
