Move start of BST forward to the last Sunday in February
Move the start of BST to the last Sunday in February, to achieve parity closer to the dawn and dusk times of the autumn clock change. This would give the UK one month longer in British Summer Time (BST) and one month shorter GMT (Greenwich Mean Time).
1, This could save co2 emissions as lighter evenings should mean less energy used on home and street lighting.
2, Lighter evenings can give better safety to people traveling by whatever means.
3, Lighter evenings can encourage people to exercise more.
4, It could boost public spirit.
