Local voting on projects for where money should be spent by your local councils
I want local voting to come into place for where money should be spent sent from the government by our local councils.
There are many projects the communities are fighting for that are being ignored by councils forcing the community to raise their own funds to restorate buildings or towns etc
We have national voting for the government.. Local voting for our councillors. However, once these councillors are voted in, they generally ignore communities ideas for projects that should be funded by them to help our communities.
There are several areas in towns across Tameside (where I live) and other areas across the country where this funding could be put to better use. I would like voting for funds spent in our local areas decided by the community, listing on ballots projects of need

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.
We're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do. We're not sure whether you want all local authority spending to be decided by voting, or if you'd like votes on specific sorts of spending.
You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.
