referendum before declaration of war
That a national referendum be held before a British government can enter into a military conflict. Such a requirement would only be superseded by an imminent, aggressive and demonstrable threat to the integrity of the UK or its dependencies.Currently, the decision to declare war is taken by too small a cohort of people who are largely insulated from the consequences of their decisions.
