Petition Action

Mental health Doctors in A&E & give mental health more support and funding!

Petition Details

Have mental health teams 24/7 in each A&E hospital.
The police get called to incidents, but the family or mental health services aren’t aware.
Give police rights to request mental health services to intervene.
Give long term support for those with mental illness and bring back regular reviews.

Additional Information

Patients that get sectioned aren't even assessed until they have 3 clear covid tests. Remove the 3 covid tests! People go holiday without a test, but cannot get urgent medical help and assessments.

Give sectioned patients rights. They have no tv, no radio no exercise, no fresh air, no visitors, no dignity. Give them normality.
The hospitals should have a dedicated mental health team at every A&E hospital.
Police should have rights to take them to the hospitals to see the mental health team.

This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

There's already a petition about this issue. We cannot accept a new petition when we already have one about a very similar issue.

You are more likely to get action on this issue if you sign and share a single petition.

You may wish to sign this petition calling for a similar action: petition.parliament.uk/petitions/600251

Decisions about referring people to NHS mental health services are an operational matter for the police, not the Government or House of Commons.

We could accept a petition calling on the Government to review care arrangements for people who have been sectioned, if that's something you would like to happen.
