Exempt contacts vaccinated abroad from self-isolation requirements
Contacts who have been vaccinated abroad with an MHRA approved vaccine should be exempt from the requirement to self-isolate when contacted by NHS Test and Trace.
Those vaccinated abroad are recognised under travel rules, but not Test and Trace.
If someone who was vaccinated abroad is informed by NHS Test and Trace that they were in contact with someone who tested positive for coronavirus, they will have to self-isolate.
If the same vaccine was administered by the NHS, as per the rules, the individual does not have to self-isolate.
We believe these rules are nonsensical, inconsistent and should be changed to recognise vaccinations administered abroad.
