Reverse orders for GPs to do fewer checks & monitoring
It has been decided that doctors will spend less time monitoring people with conditions such as diabetes & heart problems, do fewer health checks on people over 75 & stop performing minor surgery until April in order to ‘urgently deliver booster jabs’. This decision urgently needs to be reversed.
Throughout this pandemic those with existing health conditions or over 75s have slipped under the radar as the government solely focuses on Covid-19 patients. This recent decision will only lead to further deaths and illnesses. We cannot continue to prioritise Covid-19 whilst allowing the suffering of other patients. This decision needs to be reversed immediately by ministers.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Petitions must call for a specific action that the UK Government or Parliament are directly responsible for.
Changes to NHS operations to increase capacity to deliver the Covid-19 booster programme are an operational matter for the NHS, and not a decision for the Government or Parliament.
