Set up a legal register of step parents and partners including DBS checks.
To set up a register that partners in all forms, step parents , partners, inc date partners have to sign by law including an indepth DBS check they pay for.
The register must be available to social services, schools, police.
Too many children are physically, emotionally, sexually abused and finally murdered by the step parent or partner of children that are not genetically theirs.
If they are made to sign the register regardless if it is a new, short or full term relationship this will give protection to voiceless babies and children. A thorough DBS check paid by partner will show any convictions for violence, drugs and so on. We cannot allow anymore excuses. It is everyone's duty including the government.

We understand that you are concerned about existing arrangements to protect children, but we're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do. It's not clear if you only want this to apply to people dating, in relationships with, or marrying people that already have children, or anyone engaging in any of these relationships.
We also cannot accept petitions that make requests that are extreme, which would include people being required to go through Enhanced DBS checks before they are able to date another person.
