Change legislation to protect those with mental health issues
1 in 4 people are now suffering with mental health. We have no legislation which protects us other than the Equality act 2010 which is for discrimination and is hard to prove. I have been bullied in employment along with many others due to mental health which negatively impacts mental health.
The mental health act provides a right to receive treatment but we have no legislation which protects us other than the Equality act 2010 which is for discrimination and is hard to prove. Employers are allowed to bully those with mental health issues or bully employees to the point where they suffer with mental health. Legislation needs to be introduced to protect those with mental health and those that have a negative impact to the mental health of others need to be held accountable.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.
We understand that you are concerned about how those suffering from mental health problems are treated, but we're not sure what specifically you'd like to see changed. If those with mental health problems are being bullied by an employer due to their disability, they would already be protected under the Equality Act 2010.
You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.
