Petition Action

Automatically remove passports for people found guilty of child sexual offences

Petition Details

Upon a UK Citizen being convicted of a child sex crime (the victim being under 16 years old) the courts should have the power to revoke their passport preventing them from traveling outside the UK.

Additional Information

The Government have spoken about revoking passports for users of class A drugs and this could assist in the prevention of drugs coming into the UK. There have been cases where child sex offenders have travelled abroad to commit abuse. The government should implement the automatic removal of passports for any convicted child sex offender within the UK.
