Website Cookie Banners discriminate against disabled people. Remove them all.
Amend The Privacy and Electronic Communications (EC Directive) Regulations 2003, so that an alternative method of respecting data privacy on websites can be used, as opposed to Cookie Banners.
Cookie Banners discriminate against visually impaired people and clearly breach the Equality Act.
GDPR is well-meaning in enshrining the rights of the individual to retain their privacy. Unfortunately, the implementation of this by the use of Cookie Banners on websites has made these websites much more inaccessible for visually impaired people. This is a clear breach of the Equality Act.
We are proud to be an inclusive nation and do not discriminate on the grounds of race, religion, ethnicity or gender and yet we allow this blatant discrimination to not only continue but be enforceable.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.
We understand that you are concerned about banners that many websites use to ask users to consent to cookies, but we're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do.
Current legislation requires people running websites, tell people cookies are there; explain what the cookies are doing and why; and get the person’s consent to store a cookie on their device. We can accept petitions calling for changes to these requirements, you would need to be clear about exactly what changes you want to be made to this legislation.
