Change Child Maintenance Services payment system
I would like to change giving the payee your bank details when there is domestic abuse history, as they can leave abusive messages as their reference. I have now had a derogatory message on my bank statement every week for the last 6 years, the Police, my bank or Child Maintenance could not stop it.
Men and Women both suffer from Domestic Abuse, we need the Government and Parliament to help support change, they need to stop the Child Maintenance Service putting the person back into domestic abuse, by making the receiving parent give out there bank details to receive the payment, as then the paying parent can leave a derogatory message as their reference which is abuse. Previously the Child Support agency would receive payment then they would pay the receiving parent with domestic abuse history.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Petitions must call for a specific action that the UK Government or Parliament are directly responsible for.
When child maintenance is paid directly to the resident payment by the payee, arranging payment and any reference included with these payments is a matter for the payee, not the Government or Parliament.
Where a resident parent does not want any contact with the payee, they can receive child maintenance through Collect and Pay, where the Child Maintenance Service calculates, collects and passes on payments between parents.
